Underwater Climate Meeting

As part of a campaign publicizing the threat of climate change and its effects on the Maldives, Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed presided over the world’s first underwater cabinet meeting on October 17th, 2009, off the island of Girifushi with the meeting participants underwater in scuba diving gear.
