Purple Grasshopper | Green Wings Award

This is new…I mean, I’ve seen green grasshoppers before, but never a purple one. While its bright color definitely makes it stand out, I can’t imagine that’s a good thing when trying to hide from potential predators.

If you’re going to hop among the blades of grass or climb along the green leaves of local plants, purple makes quite a statement!

For being different, and not afraid to show it, this purple grasshopper earns our Green Wings Award.
