Society as a whole tends to gauge people’s success by the size of their homes, the style of cars they drive, the type of clothing they wear, how much money they have in their bank accounts and numerous other factors. The question is though…do all these objects and possessions actually equal success and happiness? Can’t someone be successful without having to have the latest technologies or big ticket items? How sustainable can we really be if we are constantly striving to have things we don’t actually need? Wouldn’t it be smarter, better for the environment and easier to live with less? Gives you a different perspective, doesn’t it? I mean, how simple would your life be if you didn’t have to keep track of and maintain so many things? What if you didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck or deal with a seemingly, ever-increasing mountain of debt? My guess is you’d probably be less stressed and have more time to enjoy the things that really matter in life. As a bonus, you’d be consuming less, wasting less and moving along the road to living a greener, more environmentally-friendly life. Less really can be more. Try it and see.
