A lot of environmental reports are telling us that we need to cut down on harmful emissions and look to more biofriendly fuel alternatives.  Now while most people would agree 100%, how many people have any idea how much their vehicle is contributing to air pollution and global warming?

First thing to know is yes, a lot of cars and trucks today produce less pollution than 40-50 years ago.  And with biofuels like Bio-Willie or fuel additive such as Green Plus®, harmful emissions go down even more.

The main problem is that there are a lot more vehicles on the road than there were 40-50 years ago.  Per the EPA’s Clean Cars Clean Air guide, each family owns a little more than 2 vehicles per household.   With that, there are almost 200 million cars & trucks on the raod daily resulting in over 6.3 billion miles driven every day as compared to only 2.4 billion miles driven per day in 1965.

That’s a lot of miles!  With each gallon of gas producing about 19.4 lbs of CO2, an average of 5.2 metric tons of CO2 emissions are produced from every passenger vehicle.  And that’s just cars & trucks, so it’s no wonder transportation produces 29% of the Greenhouse Gas emissions in our country.

But there is something that each person can do to reduce harmful emissions.  Take public transportation.  I’m not saying you immediately have to take public transportation every day, but if you leave your car at home just twice a week that reduces emissions by about 1,600 lbs per year.  If everyone did that or even started at one day a week, we could begin to make a dent.

  • Fuel Additives

    A clean engine generates very little harmful emissions!

    Carbon deposits form in every gas and diesel engine. These deposits are THE major contributor to SOx, NOx, CO, Particulate, and unburned hydrocarbon emissions. Use of the right fuel additive can ELIMINATE hard carbon deposits and prevent their reformation. Once deposits are eliminated, there is indeed a corresponding reduction of polluting emissions.

    Hard Carbon deposits will NOT burn out of an engine at temperatures less than 1200 degrees Celsius, unless the proper fuel additive is used.

    Detergent based additives are very limited in their efficacy as they do not cause the agglomerations to combustion, but they cause them to slough off into the internal workings of the engine. They will them hopefully be carried away by the oil.

    Yes, it’s true, a tested and proven workable fuel additive like Green Plus liquid combustion catalyst should be used as it provides a more complete burn resulting in significantly less pollution.
