Rainbow on the Wetlands

At first glance you might consider this oily sheen reflecting the colors an environmental problem, but it is actually a natural phenomenon that occurs in wetlands and marsh. The oil is produced by microbes in the water and we tend to see it when it becomes concentrated, as it does in these isolated pockets.
