Making New Year’s resolutions are part and parcel to ringing in the new year.  Like me, many people have probably made resolutions to be healthier, to set aside more money for the future, to spend more time with family, to do something biofriendly for the environment, to adopt an animal from a local shelther, to further their education, etc.

What about a resolution for your car?  I mean we all know, if you expect your car to last you need to take care of it.  Not keeping up with basic and regular maintenance could mean large or costly repairs and even long-term damage.

I ran across a good article on “The Basics of Car Servicing”  that I thought was worth sharing.  It has some of the simple and basic upkeep items that when done can help ensure your car will be with you for the long run….and will run better while doing so.

Some of the basic maintenance steps included are: changing out your oil every 3000-5000 miles, changing out your spark plugs every 30,000-50,000 miles, rotating your tires every 6,000 miles or so, changing your fuel filter every 35,000-40,000 miles, etc.

It’s not too late to make your car’s biofriendly resolution for 2009.  You and your car will be very happy you did – and don’t forget, by adding an effective liquid fuel enhancer  you can help your car create a more complete burn thus producing less exhaust and providing better fuel economy.
