Pollination Time

Today’s Image of the Day is this beautiful close-up shot of a purple flower being visited by one of nature’s best pollinators, the bee. While many insects are key in pollination, the bee seems to do this job particularly well. Many of the crops grown today, the flowers we have in our gardens and the food we eat, are all available due to bees and their pollination efforts.
