Hawksbill Sea Turtle

What a face! Today’s image of the day goes to this awesome hawksbill sea turtle. Hawksbill turtles are traditionally found close to the coast in the tropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. Their shelf length can grow in size to about 45 inches and they can get up to about 150 pounds. Unfortunately, these turtles are currently listed as critically endangered, so this photo is probably about as close as most of us will get.
